I’ve created a hybrid fitness program that blends bodyweight resistance training with high intensity interval training. I designed it to be done from home and to require no exercise equipment! I also used progressive overload programming, which means that the workouts get harder every week!

I’m Taysha, a personal trainer and health coach in New York City. I’ve been training clients ever since I graduated from The College of William & Mary in 2012. Over the past 6 years I’ve trained clients with all types of fitness goals! Most people come to me after not having worked out for YEARS. When I ask why, there are a wide array of reasons and excuses but there are 2 that I hear far more than any others.

HIIT + Body Weight Resistance Training to Optimize Fat Loss

There are MANY different training techniques, almost too many to count! Without question, the best method of training for gaining lean muscle mass and increasing metabolism is resistance training and one of the best methods of training for fat loss is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

Over the years I’ve tested many different forms of “fat burning” cardio in my own programs and into my clients programs and I haven’t found any to be as effective as HIIT. There’s a direct correlation with consistently doing High Intensity Interval Training and burning body fat. It just works!

Resistance training is usually the foundation of my programs because of its long lasting benefits. By working your muscles and making sure that they’re progressively getting stronger we’re sending a signal to your body that your metabolism needs to be faster! This means burning more calories at rest throughout the day!
